Meet Your Instructor

Dr. Andre Benito Mountain is a nationally recognized educator, author, and curriculum specialist with over 20 years of experience in K–12 education, museum programming, and culturally responsive teaching. He holds a doctorate in Curriculum Studies and currently serves as an adjunct professor at SUNY Old Westbury. Dr. Mountain is passionate about using Hip Hop culture as a lens for transformative learning and has developed innovative literacy and arts-based programs that center student voice, identity, and community. His work bridges classrooms, museums, and cultural institutions to help educators and teaching artists design content that engages and empowers learners across generations.
